My Personal Background

My name is Raffy Jun Mamalias Lorenzana. The youngest son of Mr. Rufino Lorenzana and Mrs. Bellaflor M. Lorenzana. I was born on July 31, 1993 in our house at Bagacay, Sibonga, Cebu. I am now currently living in Taloot, Argao, Cebu with my family for almost 18 years(from the time of writing). We move from Bagacay to Taloot for some unexpected happenings that end up to a decision made by my parents and that is to move and live in Taloot with my grandparents. I believe, it was God's plan why it happens.

I'm just a simple person living an ordinary life with my family and loved ones. I am interested in programming, web development and any other computer related topics and skills. I'm passionate to do the things that I love and willing to learn the lessons and things that will make me shape into a better person. I can say that I am an average person cause I know that I'm not that good in anything but I'm trying my best in everything that I do. I know I have many mistakes but Im eager to fix and learn from it. Now Im working hard to become a better individual and to achieve my vision and goals in life.

My Educational Background

In my elementary, I studied and finished my primary education at Taloot Central Elementary School for six long years. In the school I met my classmates, new friends and playmates that I used to play with from morning until afternoon. Whenever we have time and we're free to play, we play as hard as we can, do the things that we want to do like any other children does. We sometimes forget and skip our classes just to play around and because of it we got scolded by our teachers. My elementary years then was full of fun experience, play time and unforgettable moments with my classmates, friends and playmates.

In my high school, I went to Sibonga National High School to study there and finished my secondary education. It was my father's personal choice to send me to Sibonga National High School since he graduated there and also my brother and sister. In my first year of high school, I was put in a section where students coming from different elementary school with different personalities are joined together. That section was the last section in the first year and the students belong to this section has a low grades and that includes me..hehe!!.. It was not hard for me since I have classmates there coming from the elementary school I studied.

On the second year of high school up to the fourth year, I was moved from the last section to the first section/speed class as they call. It was a bit hard and challenging for me to adjust at first since I came from the last section but later it became easy as time goes by with the help of my old classmates in elementary and to my new friends and classmates. The first section is totally different from the last section that I came with before. Teachers expectations arises, subjects are taught faster and in a different approach, classmates are so brilliant and has so many ideas in their minds and I can sense a bit of competition in some students. It was really a new environment for me but later it became handy as I learn to adapt to their environment and became one of them. My high school life is then filled with good friends, happy memories and unforgettable experience worthy and so nice to be remembered.

In my college, I went to Cebu Techonological University Argao, Campus and enrolled to a course Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology(BSICT). My father send me to this school because it is nearer, accessible, and affordable compare to other universities. I don't have any violent reactions on my father's choice because the course that I like is offered in this university, so Im thankful that he enrolled me to this school. In this school I met new friends coming from different walks of life working hard to finish their studies for them to have a stable job after. Friends that inspires me and helps me shape to become a better individual that I will be. I am now on my 3rd year of college(from the time of writing), a step closer to my goal of earning a degree and having a stable job inline to my course after graduating. A step closer not only to my goal but also to my vision of having a better life and becoming a better citizen of the country.

My Programming and Web Development Experience

At first, I don't have any idea about these things (Programming and Web Development) because I don't know it yet and I don't have any experience at all. This things are very new to me until the time that the teachers from the course that I am enrolled with introduce this new topics. I find it difficult and hard at first, since I don't have any idea on my mind about what it is and what to do but later it became not as hard as compared to the first time because I already learn the basics of it from our instructors. When this things are introduced to me, I don't like it immediately because of the fact that it is difficult and hard to learn and needs extra effort and hardwork to understand it well.

But as time goes by, I became more interested and passionate about it. I did my own research and study about what it is, read articles and books online, create programs and websites any chance I could and did many things just to know more about it. I did this cause I know that the university could not give me all the knowledge I need, so as a student I did my part by having my own reasearch and study about these things. I'm also thankful to those people who help me by sharing their knowledge freely through the Internet just like Bucky and to his website who helps me a lot in learning programming and web development. Now, I continue to study more and more each day for me to learn and better understand it well so that I can share more knowledge about these things to others who does not know it yet.
